Santa Rosa Stallion Frequently Asked Questions

When and where are Practices?

The Santa Rosa Stallions practice at Montgomery High School.  Practices (for all football players and cheerleaders) for the 2009 season begin on July 27 and run from 5:30 - 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday until the first game.  All players and cheerleaders should plan on arriving to practice at least 10 minutes early.  Practice schedule for the remainder of the season TBA by the coach.

Where are Home Games?

Montgomery High School is the home field for the Santa Rosa Stallions.

Are there costs in addition to the registration fees?

Not included in the registration fees are the following:

Football players are required to have a practice jersey with their last name on the back, available at T&B Sports on W. Steele Lane, west of Range Avenue, (just tell them you are with the Stallions), a football girdle, and a pair of football cleats (soccer cleats will work, baseball cleats will NOT).  Beginning with the 2008 season, screw-on cleats will be allowed with the following restrictions:  1) 1/2 inch cleats only, NO 3/4 inch or metal cleats will be allowed.

For the cheerleaders, they need to purchase cheer shoes, socks, midriff leotard and kick pants or, if a Mitey Mite, one piece leotard and kick pants.  See the Cheer Director, Jenny Ponce, for more information and to order or buy your accessories.  Most, if not all, squads will also purchase a hair piece and warm-up suit.

How far can I expect to travel?

The Stallions are members of North Bay Youth Football and Cheer (NBYFC).  We have member associations from Ukiah and Dixon in the north to Novato in the south.  Generally, every other year we will travel to those locations; that is, one year we go to their field, the next they come to ours.
